Colors in a small bathroom?

I am totally gutting my small bathroom and redoing it. I have bought a white tub, commode and euro style (for the floor space) vanity what colors do you think would look nice with these for the walls and floor? I also need to get some kind of a deep cabinet I can recess a few inches into the wall behind the commode for towels etc. I really wanted oak but ended up with white. Thanks for any pictures or ideas And should I buy a decorative border that accents color to put around top? I have high ceilings? Thanks You all.

  1. can't get no satisfaction? paint it black!
  2. well if you want a wooden theme i would sujest browns and creams they would work well with the whites or you can go for blues which i like because its like a water theme which works well for the room (mirrors make rooms look bigger just an idea as you mentioned it was a small bathroom)
  3. timber and pale lavander is really nice or pale pea green and timber or timber lavander and green is hot it lifts the white bath and makes a statement
  4. You have a blank canves to work with. What colors have you used in the rest of your home? Or now would be a great time to try a color you may have been afraid to try in a larger room. With all white fixtures think I would try a dark teal and do ceiling and walls. Then use a dark brown as an accent color for towels, etc. Even being small in size the white will really pop against the dark color. Also the use of mirrors and lighting will help. Example a frameless mirror over the vanity and smaller ones the same shape on either side of that one instead of one large mirror.
  5. I would keep the colors light and neutral. If the bathroom is small, it will make it look bigger and airier. I am in the process of remodeling my bathroom too, it is very small. I painted with an eggshell and a pale peach using a blending method that gives a marbeling effect. My bathroom looks twice as big, I couldn't believe it. Good Luck!
  6. What is your favorite color? Use it! You will always think of it as being a cheerful, happy space that way. And if it doesn't flow with the rest of the house, use a neutral color - tan, taupe, creme - with accents (towels, shower curtains, candles) of your favorite color. Try an over-sized, elegantly framed mirror over the sink to add a focal point and to visually enlarge the space. Or a small chandelier to add drama. If there is room add a small table to hold a vase of flowers, a small lamp, or several scented candles. A chair is always a pleasant addition...be it a straight ladder back one or the cushy, comfy type. Glass shelves are unobtrusive and look great with glass jars holding cotton balls, or cotton swabs. Towels can be kept in an over-sized basket, while face cloths are rolled and kept between a couple of the glass jars. Don't skimp on fabric. A full shower curtain and window curtain give the room a luxurious feeling. Whatever you do, enjoy your beautiful 'new' room! And remember...if you paint before buying accessories, you can repaint it if it isn't all you had hoped it would be. :) Hope this helps.
  7. I redid my smaller bathroom in a light lavender color with a slightly darker trim. I did however get rid of the vanity and put in a pedestal sink. For the floor I would go with some kind of vinyl that is made to look like tile. I think white goes well with all of those colors.
