How hard/easy is it to redo a bathroom floor? I have a small bathroom.?
I want to know about tearing the tile off the floor and walls. The guy that lived here before me put white tiles on the wall (partial) and the floor and I hate it. Also, I am wondering if I should lay the tile myself?

- do it yourself. It not that hard for the walls if you've got the right stuff and read up on how to do it but the floor is trickier as you have to go round all the appliences.
- It is not that difficult but it depends on how ambitious you are. I suggest you go to a Home Depot or Lowes and ask a lot of questions and then make your decision. It is always a great achievement to do things yourself. Happy flooring!
- the hardest part is getting the old tiles off and prepping it for the new. especially the walls to redo, you might end up replacing drywall. A crowbar and hammer will do the trick to remove the old tiles, you will need a power sander to remove old adhesive and get a nice smooth surface. Be sure you wear gloves, eye protection and a dust mask. Laying tile is actually easy, the only hard part is cutting tiles. You can do a basic search of how to lay tiles, cut them and what materials you need or go to lowes/home depot, etc and they'll give you what you need and some even show you how to do it. It would be better having someone to show you how to do it, then to explain it on here.
- Laying tile is a specialty. I would hire someone. Items like painting is something that a novice can do.
