- Go to Culinary School
- send in a resima need to no where google it
- by going to college
- Culinary school or a degree in chemistry- cooking is a science! After that look into food manufacturing companies such as General Mills. You can also find a career in food tasting, can you imagine eating ice cream for a living?
- When you figure it out, let me know. I would love that.
- Most of the test kitchen managers I have worked with have in fact NOT gone to culinary school. Good places to look would be places you wouldn't necessarily think. Large food operation companies have test kitchens (such as Aramark, Sodexho, Compass, Chartwells, etc.) in their corporate office as well as in their contracts (Schools, Universities, Corporate Dining etc.) as long as its a large contract. Another good place to look is magazines. Think about how many recipes are in different types of magazines. Time Publishing has tons of magazines and might be a good place to start. Someone has to test all those recipes before they print them. You could shoot for the stars and inquire about TV programming. But those are very prestigious test kitchen jobs and most likely WOULD require a culinary degree. Culinary schools themselves also have test kitchens. Large school districts (K-12) also have test kitchen managers. Also large restaurant groups have test kitchens....Brinker (chilis), Yum Foods (taco bell, pizza hut, etc), Carlson group (TGIFridays, etc.), Darden (red lobster, olive garden, etc.) as well as hundreds of other groups you have never heard of. Fair Warning: The job might not be as idealistic as you would think. Test kitchens are really more about math, science, and conversions than cooking. Many test kitchens require you to have chemistry or food science degrees (I know companies like starbucks require this). Hope that helps. :o)
