I am planning to redo my small bathroom myself. I have two delemas. should I go with beadboard or paneling?
the paneling has a marble looking tile. my house is a small ranch in florida built it 1964. also should I go with a vessal sink on a new vanity or a new vanity with the built in sink?

- Solve both your dilemas with paneling that looks like beadboard. They've made it years and some comes pre-primed. I'd go with a new vanity and sink and paint it all white. I've done this redo many times and it has a classic traditional look. Good luck. By the way, I used the beadboard for a high wainscot (4' high) and painted the drywall above it in an accent neutral color.
- If you want , you can use the masonite 4X8 panels. White or white texture with speckles, mostly. Very light and easy to cut and nail up. They even make a plastic trim for edges to fit should you need that. Easy to clean, bright, not costly (about 11 a panel). They also have a white fiberglass 4X8 a little more costly but works about the same, although you would want to drill small pilot holes before nailing it up or the material might split. I prefer the Euro style sink, but have installed pedestal sinks to save space, although they have no storage under them. The wainscoting idea is also good. If gives you the bright lower color offset by whatever color you like above it, or you can go with a maple type color, use a chair rail for looks, and paint light above that. Either way you will get a larger look due to the lighter colors.
