I need help decorating my small bathroom. Can anyone help me?
I have a small bathroom. We are looking at doing white wainscoting with sage green paint on the upper half of the walls. White toilet, white shower. Maple window jams, maple door, maple vanity, maple medicine cabinet. Brown towels and brown rugs. Would this look ok?

- sounds good to me...(except maybe i would paint the whole wall sage green)
- I think you should go with a different color...like coral or light red. the green will look too naturey
- Sounds nice. Light colors seem to open up smaller spaces and are generally more relaxing. Just make sure you don't put too much stuff in there...nothing is worse than a cluttered space. Good choices though, hope it turns out well
- I would def. keep to light colors that way it will amke the bathroom look bigger. I think the sage green and white will look great! I am not a fan of brown in bathrooms though. Another color that would look good if you are looking for 3 colors is a very light lilac. Good Luck and ?Happy Decorating!
- It depends on the color of the brown - and why brown? I don't know how sage green and brown will end up complimenting each other when you have stark white going on.... I would say that you should go with a warm cream - not white; and put sage green, brown & cream colors (towels & accessories) on your counter tops towel racks and such....you have to make the colors work together. Not just look thrown together.
- Sounds like too much brown
- Your color scheme is nice except if it's a bathroom that you use to apply makeup, it'll make your face look green! Seriously.....I had to paint mine a diff color due to that. I'd pick a lighter wheat/tan/taupe for where you were going to do the green and then use the green and brown towels to accent. Find some art also that will bring that green color into the room without making it change your face color.
- sounds lovely to me! But I love brown, sage green, & natural woods. Matter of fact I just got brown fabric to make my bedroom curtains out of :)
- Probably yes - since you have a small place, try to use always white or light-shaded colors. Expend some extra so that you get a bigger mirror, that'll bring more light to the place, thus looking bigger. Dont forget to optimize your cabinets (try to have custom made), so that your stuff fits well, without waste of space, and keeping everything far from sight at the same time.
- Yep, it would look nice! Maybe hang some glass dolphins on the wall
- It sounds great to me. I love greens and browns and with the white it will really brighten it up and give a real clean bathroom feel. Maybe you could vary the shade of browns between the towels and rugs for a little visual interest. And just a tip, make your mirror/medicine cabinet as large as will fit. Mirrors tend to make rooms appear bigger, brighter, roomier. Have fun!
- Your wainscot will give the room the appearance of looking smaller. A dark color room will do the same. If using sage, be sure to pick a lighter color. Instead of wainscot, try a single "chair-rail" style mid trim in the white. Usually, there are a trio of colors in decorating, excluding trim. Pick one more complimentary color such as red, rust, rich yellows. Include these as your towel and small accessories. I would stay away from the brown towel & rugs to keep the room size looking bigger. Hope I helped.
- that would be really nice...maybe you could add some faux plants in there just for some color besides brown, sage, and white....other than that, i think your good to go...
- sounds like you got it all under controle.
- Sounds great- except I would paint the window jambs and the door to match the wainscoting. The more white in there, the larger it will look. You also might think about getting some decorative towels with brown & sage- look at Marshalls or TJs- to pull it all together. Tan or ecru solid towels would look equally as good instead of brown, combined with the embellished towels. For me, towels are a cheap way to decorate, to get some color in the room. http://www.fortunoff.com/catalog/ensemble.jsp?ensembleId=70627&parentCategoryId=4000000&categoryId=381000&subCategoryId=381130&
- It sounds very nice and peaceful too, but I would want to add a pop of a more vibrant color. You can change your towel color using the browns for winter and fall and maybe a light aqua in the spring and summer. Be sure to have a few accessories to change out like pictures or vases of flowers.
