Best Way to Decorate a Small Bathroom?

I have a small bathroom ~ that rarely gets used ~ and want to decorate it so that it is comfortable and attractive for guests. ANY Ideas? Thanks.

1. Try mirrors. Don't put them anywhere though your guest's can see themselves doing thier business. lol Mirrors open closed in spaces. Good luck!
2. Light Colors , like blues or greens even yellow . .any small space will seem larger if you use light colors, also in small spaces such as the bathroom , a calming color ( like greens and blues ) seem to put any one at ease no matter how small the space. Also earthy features(greens, sand , stones) give it that natural/high end spa feel .
3. White in white with very big mirrors is very trendy here in Germany . Less is more, do not decorate to much staff........
4. In our house, we took a small bathroom and put wainscoat on the walls about to eye level and painted it off-white (making the room look larger because of the bright color). You could paint the top a bright color, a darker color, or even use a patterned wallpaper (tiny lavender flowers comes to mind). You can put a chair rail around the top of the wainscoat, or even small shelves (that don't stick out too far) at the top for knick-knacks or storage space. You can get a big mirror to go in front of the sink area. Another idea is to get a light-colored tile (white, off white) and tile the walls to make the room bright and appear larger than it is.
5. Keep it simple with brighter, lighter colors.Darker ones make it appear even smaller. Dont hang much as it will look cluttered.I would stay away from those toilet seat covers that look like a rug also...Notice a house with wood floors looks bigger than the one with carpet?
6. LOVE THIS STUFF it a small space so you want to stay with a light color. I would go with a light purple on the walls white on the ceilings do a tan stone flooring using small 1inch tile( they come in 12inch sq sheet) a large tile will make the room look smaller. then add a nice brass framed mirror over the sink put brass fixture in (hand towel holder, tp holder hand soap......) and place a wall hanging plant holder with violets in it(fake of course) and a beautiful dark wood sink base. 7. You should do light colors and maybe do candles held in a unique type of candle holder...it looks fabulous(have seen it).
