what is the typical cost to hire a contractor to sheetrock a small bathroom that is measure @ 5X10 with a 7 foot ceiling? Just a ballpark! By the way, is it hard to sheetrock a room?

  1. Not sure on the cost of a contractor, but I recently renovated a bathroom at my home, similar in size. You've got roughly 210 square feet to cover minus your window and door openings (assuming you won't be sheetrocking the ceiling) around 7 sheets of 4x8 sheets of drywall should do you. You should be able to pick those up for around 10 to 15 dollars apiece at your local home improvement store. I'd imagine the remaining items you'd need (drywall tape, joint compound, a spreading tool for the compound, and a few bottles of texturing spray) wouldn't cost you more than another 100 bucks safely. I had never done anything like it and I did the drywall all my self and it turned out very nice. I'd suggest spending some money on a book that shows you step by step, mine was a lifesaver. Good luck.
