we want to put in a new bathroom modern reasonably priced long lasting

1. Wondered around just about every bathroom shop in the North West when we did ours and ended up back at B & Q. Resonable range, reasonable quality and cheap as chips.
2. B & Q have a range that you take away as a whole unit rather than buying an individual loo, bath etc. Just done a new bathroom and the suite I picked (Romsey) was £299.00 but they did do one slightly cheaper; think FOCUS do something similar. Good luck
3. Hi UK Builder ( plumber ) B&Q do a lot of very cheap bathroom products but be careful a lot are Italian fittings which do not last. Plumbers will charge you more to fit in certain products like WC as the citerns are usually the bolt through type which can leak. The showers leak due to the frames not fitting the bases correctly, the bases have no upstands ( a rim around the edge ) which you tile over to make water tight, some taps have special fittings, I could go on. But they are cheap, Wickes are a little more pricey ponds not hundreds, but the products are far superior. Infact as an example this week we fit a chrome towel radiator bought at B&Q by the customer, the brackets to fix to the wall were plastic, with a little grub screw to hold it in place. I ask you, how long would these last. Could not give the lady a guarantee with such a product, for about £20 more wickes sell towel rads with a prefitted hanger you could climb up when fixed to the wall. Dont take my word for any of this go and have a look.
