What is a good theme for a bathroom?

My bathroom is so boring looking. I really want to change it up because I want to like taking showers in there. I am not saying it's messy or anything like that, but what I am saying it needs to look a little more modern looking. Please feel free to give any suggestions. Thanks!

3. Well, you could do a funky style, like my friend who has a purple fuzzy rug, and a colorful circle patterned shower curtain.. Just lots of fun wacky colors.. You didn't mention how old you are though... You could go with a tropical or underwater design also, but just remember to match everything. Like underwater, you'd get some type of fish shower curtain (hope you know what I mean), blue towels..Pick the colors.. But for a funky theme, just go nuts with the colors lol. If you don't want a really out there theme, just pick one or two colors! Like I have a purple bathroom. EVERYTHING is purple lol. Hope this helped :D Oh and could you please answer my question? 4. I sure wish I knew what colors, but I will give you some ideas anyway. :) Paint the walls khaki and the trim and cabinets white. Use plush white towels and silver/chrome accents. Hang a huge round mirror on the largest wall to make the room appear larger. A small white lamp on the back of the toilet or on the counter would look fantastic. Add a green plant in a container (pot) that you really like. Use silver/chrome as much as possible - a chrome 'basket' to hold toilet tissue (and keep it handy), clothes hooks on the back of the door, a unique container to hold wash clothes, candle holders, etc. If you have room add a small shapely chair in your favorite color. Green or orange have 'pop', but if your favorite color is purple - go for it. (Shop thrift stores and yard sales for some great buys.) Let your imagination run wild! I think you will end up with a bathroom that you will not want to leave! :)
5. black and white. on the black walls paint a white cool little Japanese flower. on the white walls paint a black cool little Japanese flower. have black granet counter tops. put elegant flowers around (like a soft purple color, lavender or a brighter red) in a striking black pot. put candels around too. dont put any stripes of poke-a-dots anywhere or it will mess up the feel of the room.
6. I like the spa look: white towels and rugs, chrome, white cloth shower curtain, a few candles and sea shells here and there. Just like the decor when you to a spa to get a massage or some other treatment. Plus, white towels are great. You can throw them into the washer with the socks and a little bleach. Sanitary and great looking. BUT, my hus won't let me do that, so I have a "lodge" theme with fish and deer and pine cones. I have a soap dish that looks like a tackle box and a "valance" I covered with logs/bark. We upgraded our fixtures to chrome. It wasn't that expensive and was fairly easy. Good luck and best wishes.
