i need help with color scheme combining old and new?

Our house was built in 1951. We've remodeling bathroom. We left old counters, they 're unique. Very modern even now, long solid piece, no drawers, stands on no legs..Color is teal aqua like the odd color from the 50's. We added modern raspberry colored bathtub, fiberglass, bathroom all has sleek look Through out the old seafoam green carpet replaced with10x10 ceramic tile.Floor tile is subtle, peachy, light pink color, looks different depending what color its next to .Half way up all walls are original shiny solid color light beige tiles. We put matching raspberry trim along the edge of the beige tile All the faucets are silver;there are 2 old style WHITE sink basins in the green countertop:Opposite is extra long green counter must have been used as a dresser). Above that is a tripod large mirror covering the entire wall. We put silver art deco lights above sinks and medicine cabinent. Many oddly combined colors but blending well. NOW, is best color to paint walls, flat or semigloss?

  2. i have found that more important than the finish of the paint is the durability in a moist, wet area. recommend buying smaller "sample sized" cans that are now available. that way you can try them out and compare and live with the color for a few days b/4 deciding. there is a new paint that calls itself "saturated color" they have really deep rich color that may be one coat. recommend good primer (tinted to match paint) that will help application and durability. dont remember the brand of paint though. sorry.
  3. why didn't you get a white shower. raspberry? it sounds like an ice cream parlor in there. but I'm sure its great. I think in the bathroom you want a flat finish, but just ask at the paint store. they know what is best for each room.
