modern marvels-toilet paper?

we watched the Modern Marvels video on bathroom tech in class but our teacher edited out the part about toilet paper. So what did people use before toilet paper?

2. sticks, rocks, and leafs

6. probably cloth or material.... and before that, probably leaves and stuff

9. In Asia you would wash yourself with water using your left hand. You would never eat with the left hand. In the West ,bare hands, no wiping,dry leaves were the mode at first. In the Americas corn(maize) husks were popular.Later after paper began to become less expensive in the early 19th century, people would use old newspaper or an out of date mail order catalog page , the most famous being "Sears Roebuck".
