  1. You should try other stores like a Menards, Lowes, or even an online search and see what you might find. Then compare or even try www.amazon.com
  2. Check your local Craig's list...or maybe even a flea market or yard sales...something used that you can finish or paint yourself will help with keeping the cost down :) Good Luck!
  3. Pier 1 and Cost plus both have actual furniture pieces that could easily be converted to a vessel sink. I know we did it. The single biggest expense will be the sink and fixtures. Check out Pacific Sales, and Home Depot Expo for the vessels sinks. But whatever you find that you like, Pacific Sales will beat the price. But also check out coverting decorative bowls (particularly the metal ones) because many can be bored out to accomodate the drain.
  4. Go to garage sales and pick up an old dresser or cabinet. Cut a hole for the sink (they have templates) and make it a one of kind find!
  5. For modern style furniture try IKEA, they have both store sites and a complete website. www.ikea.com The have various styles of sinks and cabinets. Their prices are reasonable and the furniture is good quality.
  6. Here is are a couple of cool vessel sinks that are right at $400: http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Amanda_Column_Sink_Cabinet/110/ http://www.homedecoratorsoutlet.com/P/Moderna_Round_Sink_Cabinet/410/
  7. You could use the colors poppy red and a rusty looking gold. It worked for me.
