Is masturbation considered a sin or taboo in the secular world?

I guess that I am an old romantic but I have been doing this for the last 15 years since I was in college in my 20's. I like to have a romantic bubble bath where I light candles and let them melt on the roman tub while I watch a Playboy porno from my collection. I used to collect Playboy magazine when I was living with my folks and has the money but now I have pulled out all of the pictures of the beautiful women and framed them for my bathroom. I like to talk to the girls in the video like they are really there. I always set aside time after work on Saturday night for this. It's my special time. I always thought of this as my "special time" but some Catholics and Mormons say that "pleasure" or "sex" is a sin unless you are making a child.

13. It's normal and healthy, and almost everyone does it. I'm willing to bet that even those who consider it a sin give in to the urge some of the time. "Pleasure" is a sin...well I am glad I'm not one of these people no wonder so many of them seem to be frustrated and/or angry! Your set up seems a little elaborate, maybe you need to try actually having a girl/boyfriend? But if you are happy the way you are, don't change.

15. If God intended it not to be pleasurable he would have made it so. He made them naked and innocent not insensitive to each other's touches. I never heard that any commandment said "Don't touch it!!" If there were a few less religious hypocrits, there were be far less uses of children in pornography. I'm certain some sick soul thinks that he's retaining a measure of innocence by using the innocent. I'd rather encourage fantasy which harms no one.
16. Where to begin? Yes, what you are doing is sinful, no question about that. Man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife, that they may become one flesh. Everything else is sin. There are no gray areas. We cannot allow our body parts to rule over us; we must rule over our body parts. One cannot enter into life, the eternal place of life, that has not the slightest imperfection in it, which trash in one's heart. We have to make Jesus our Lord and Savior and allow Him to come into our hearts and make us holy. It is a supernatural thing done by the grace of God, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.
