how can I tell a knockoff Dolce Gabanna pair of sunglasses from a real one?

I know this girl who thinks she's so stylish and has the big bucks. Yesterday, I noticed a pair of sunglasses in her bathroom, and something tells me they're not real. They have the DG letters on the sides, and DG 2540 on the inside of the rim. Are they "Designer inspired" or real?

3. Why do you want to know? So you can tell all your mutual friends that her stuff is fake. Just ask her where she bought them and how much they cost. By her reaction and or answer you will be able to tellif they are fake. Plus just look at them. The quality of knockoffs are not hte same. Look at the lens quality and the gold plated parts if any. In the real ones those parts are metal and in the fake ones they are plastic covered in metal paint. Your friend probably has the fake ones like everyone else nless they are willign to spend about $150 dollars like I did for my Guccis. But I had a pair of DGs with the rhinestones on the side and I paid $20 and bought them from some girl that went to New York. They fell apart rather quickly because of the poor construction even thought they were a pretty good knockoff. I had them for 3 weeks. I have had my Guccis for over six months and nothing is loose. That is the difference.
