Why do so many girls take photos of themselves together in bathrooms at nightclubs and bars?

Whenever I look at my female friends' photos, they have all these pictures they call "bathroom shots" of them together in the nightclubs' bathrooms. Obviously they don't take pictures of them actually going to the bathroom, but just of them together inside of it. When you go out, how often do you take these shots? How do you decide when to take them?

1. They want to remember their night out, and the bathroom is the only place that is lit well enought to take a photo.
