Do schools of interior design have students do practicums?

I am not color blind,but I have no sense of color. I can't pull together colors or accent pieces for my home. I have a beautiful historic home complete with oversized living and dining rooms, butler's pantry and third floor servant's quarters with living room, bedroom and full bath. I don't have much money, but worse than that, I have no "eye" for decorating. Where do I start? I'd like to hear from someone who has worked with a student designer.

1. Interior Design Programs vary of course, but I am sure if you contacted a school in your area a student would be glad to assist you. This also gives the student a real world project which is very valuable for their work portfolio. Good Luck.
2. If you are looking for a way to have the place redone for you call the local tech school or community college. FYI- Tech schools made additons and redid a foundation The college had student go paint and decorate
