Toilet question?

There are a few loo-related Qs on here today, which have reminded me of a pet hate. Why do interior designers, architects or whoever is responsible for modern building design think it is desirable for toilets to be unisex? Why on earth would they think women want to share a lav with blokes? Nothing against men, but as far as toilets go, men are dirty and smelly. I was in a restaurant the other week: the food and service were very good but it put me right off when I went to look at the porcelain and it was unisex. Does anyone actually think unisex bogs are a good thing?

  1. If you gotta go, you gotta go.
  2. I think that unisex loos are a great idea and very space saving, but in reality I wouldn't want to hear the girl from the office that I really fancy dumping her guts and stinking the joint out. It would shatter too many illusions.
  3. i prefer do it in my pants than in UNISEX toilet
  4. hold on there, margaret. some women can outfart and outstink water buffaloes.
  5. You'd love a restaurant in France that I went to a few years ago - the men's urinal was in full view, just a small modesty screen, on the corridor that led to the kitchen, right next to the public telephone!
  6. to be honest ive never been in a unisex lav but if i did im sure i would be put off i mean i wanna go to the lav, do my hair make-up with-out some guy leering at me that would put me off and the smell...yuck should stick to same sex lavs
  7. I've heard women complain that there is never a queue at the gents, and as far as men being dirty and smelly... well I think that's all in your head. We're all human and have the same digestive system. Men aren't any more dirty or smelly than women.
  8. Can women actually use urinals? I know I've seen pictures but I thought that was just a p**s take! I'm with the guy who wouldn't want his dreams shattered if a woman I fancied dumped her guts and stank the place out ... Not exactly conducive to a horny fantasy!
  9. no, i agree with u. unisex toliets wouldnt be so bad if men aimed and cleaned up after them selves...
  10. i hate unisex loos when i go for a pee or dump i dont want to smell cheap perfume and, babe, your shit doesn't smell any sweeter than mine
  11. Its my belief that you should judge a restaurant or pub by the state of its toilets. It also tells you something about the clientele.
  12. Toilets are toilets, I dont see why there is such an issue with them, we all use them! Not all men are smelly and not all women are clean, I have followed women into loos to find they have left pee on the seat! Now thats gross!
  13. i wouldn't mind, as long as it is clean
  14. not at all. men and women need to do different stuff. a guy going for a crap while a girl is outside doing her make-up by the mirror? no lets keep privacy for each of the sexes. that way guys can safely stand up for their pee and girls can do their girly stuff without being interrupted
  15. i think that unisex loos are there to try and save space but they are Rather nasty too share with men, especially those who dribble on the seat.
  16. i hear you, my dad is fixing up a house right now and he has a bunch of guys working for him. when i go over there to help paint, i have to work in a piss smelling house. u dont even want to no the last time they cleaned it. not to mention, theres no door, so they all have to move when im going to the bathroom.... good times, good times!
  17. I went to Belgium last year, and in a restaurant in Ypres, there were unisex toilets.....they were horrible. Yeah, they're space-saving, but they're not very private are they?
  18. after the shit is over and when we sit in a relax state then we will noticed it.However when the shit comes no one thinks about it and they will be in a state of emergency.a girl can answer it better
  19. Having worked for a large company and shared ladies' loos with a number of other women, I have to disagree with your statement that men are dirtier than women. I was often disgusted by the state in which a cubicle had been left and found it hard to believe that a woman who worked near me, (all of whom appeared to be clean, smart and well turned-out) could be so dirty. On the other hand, I once shared a home with 4 men and our toilet was always clean and never smelled! Having said that, I have to admit that I don't like unisex loos; when I visit a public toilet I often like to touch-up my lipstick and perhaps comb my hair while I'm at the basins, and this should be done in women's territory - not under the scrutiny of amused men! Vive la difference I say!
  20. Imagine a lady goes and visits her male friend who has a "male toilet" (urinol). Where would she pee? In the bathtub?? I think this answers your question!
  21. ewww.... I share a bathroom at home with 3 men! I always have to put the seat down when I have to go, I certainly do not want to touch the fixtures in a public place! My vote is no!
  22. I HATE to share a toliet with other men. We are equal in lots of ways, but I dont like sharing toilets in public with other men.
  23. If there are a lot of clients, no. Women take longer than men. Plus, men don't enjoy seeing tampon boxes. If there are few clients, I don't see the problem.
  24. women and men should only use the toilet together for a quick knee trembler after lunch
  25. I don't use restaurant bogs...
  26. It sounds horrible. Why is this done? For cost containment? In America, I have never seen any unisex lavs. Thank goodness!
  27. you saying there aint dirty smelly women!! a women who has vaginal problems can be sickly!!!!
  28. I would not want to use a unisex loo, simply for the fact I would not feel safe, can I also assure you that men are not dirty or smelly either, my husband is very clean, he always makes sure the loo seat is down when he has been and taken his ablution, he also cleans the loo as regular as I do, I have seen what women leave in public toilets myself and it is not a pretty sight, we all pong when we gotta go, ours our as bad as men's too.
  29. Why don't women ever lift the seat after using the toilet? How Rude!!!! It means that I have to touch the seat to lift it before using the toilet. I'd have thought women would have been more polite
  30. No they are not a good idea at all,but what makes you think that men would want to share a toilet with a woman. How on earth could we both urinate in the same trap at the same time?Desperate times need desperate measures!!Well I hope you eventually get to the BOTTOM of this question and how do you know that men are dirty and smelly as far as toilets go?Have you been secretly visiting them in drag?
  31. to be honest, its not a good thing. in brazil are unisex bogs, and people don"t respect the oder person.
