Need help with finding inteior design ideas for my house?

I have no house design talent at all. Right now must of the items in our home have been gifts from parents or hammy downs from someone. I would like to start fresh with everything. The only thing I like in my house right would be the paint job I have done on my house. I just painted our front room a dark red, it has natural color wood flooring. The room is empty right now with no furniture or anything. I would like this to be our "family" room. (Just a note) We have have two small children and 3 pets (2 dogs and 1 cat). Our kitchen and our back room which is our family room./ den right now has wood paneling. I painted the kitchen a light gray, but the cabinets our our dark wood. ( I would like to change) and I would also like to make our den into a game room for a pool table. The bedrooms and bathrooms our natural colors. (brown and gray). I like Renaissance style, and I also like the rustic Texas country style. (Im from Tx). Can anyone create a new look for my house by giving furniture and decorating ideas thank you.

1. Not really - but you can get some direction by typing "living room decorating" or some such wording in your search line. There are a zillion sites (including ones sponsored by all the decorating magazines and home improvement stores) that all show completed remodel or decorated rooms. You might even use the words Renaissance or Texas Country in your search to get more specific pictures. I have always tried to start with a color pallet I love. One time it was a floral napkin with gray, peach, light browns. Since you have 2 colors already - find a fabric with both those and at least one more color - then go shopping! By carrying that with you all fabrics and paints will flowed nicely from one room to another. Start with one thing (style or color pallet) and stay focused.
