how to be more creative with my drawings?

i am building up my portfolio and ive seen works of various graphic designers in animation, typography, general poster designs, branding. how can i start to be more creative with what i draw. what makes a piece 'different or creative'? please recommend some graphic designers work i should look into

1. no one can tell you HOW to be creative. you either are, or you aren't...
2. That has to come within you and you abilities as an artist. The only thing I can tell you that could help you somewhat is to look for inspiration and try to make your own ideas about how you want your own version of creativty to look like. Just research.
