when watching the HGTV channel, home buyers might usually say "yea we can definitely entertain with this kitchen" or "we can definitely entertain with this living room" what does it mean to entertain?! (housewise)

Most people like to have a lot of space in their homes to do this, that way, everyone's not crammed into one little tiny space.
