Which house sounds like a better family home?

House #1 Across the street from my parents 9 bedrooms, 4 ensuits, 4 walk in wardrobes. Lift (Elevator, past owner was disabled) 'Grand' stairs in foyer and 2 other back stairs Architect Design Quite Modern Library Indoor Pool Large kitchen and dining room Large garden Little passage ways through the house, and secret rooms for the previous' owner grandkids House #2 10 bedrooms, 4 ensuit, 4 walk in wardrobes Play room (Last owners had kids, and this room has murals all over the walls) 3 stairs throughout the house Large kitchen & Dining room Slightly smaller garden Built in 4 car garage Greenhouse More Regal than house #1 20 mins from my family Both houses are in a private, resedential estate. Both are very safe, I'm opting for house #1, because it's close to my family, so the kids can go over to my younger siblings any time, and they can attend the same schools. And it has a nice pool and big garden. If you had a choice, which house would you choose? I know I haven't given a lot of information, but just which house. My fiancés 3 siblings live with us, we're their guardians, and we have twins of our own due on Christmas Eve. Yes home is where you feel happy & where the family is. We live in Ireland, we moved from the UK last year, and nobody's happy so everyones moving home. And my parents never sold their house, so they're going back to that house. My fiancé & I need a house because I was living with my parents in the Uk

  1. House #1, Passage ways and secret rooms sound really fun, closer to family.
  2. They're both nice, but I think family home is where you would feel happiest, not on how many bedrooms, etc unless that's what makes you happy!! Congrats on your twins though :)
  3. I'd say #2. As much as it's nicer to live nearer to your family, if you've ever watched the show Everybody Loves Raymond, you'll see it's not all rose bushes when it comes to living so close to family. The thing is that house #2 is still close, but not too close. Distance is a good thing when it comes to parents, and as much as you love them, it might not be a good idea to live so close to them.
  4. Many people still ignore the conventional wisdom that says: "I have no extra money to waste, so I can not afford to buy something cheap that will not last long." In all areas of life, cheap goods do not last as long and you end up spending more money on resale of cheap if you bought the quality first. The question is, "Can you afford to go cheap?"
  5. without doubt the one with the walk-in wardrobe system
  6. Mm...It should be useful. http://anpai.info/154226/garden-building
