- Your question is confusing. It appears you want to control a three-way light by using a door to do the switching. I must assume you are speaking of a lamp with three levels of brightnes, normally done with two filaments selectively switched. It would be much simpler to use a regular incandescent lamp with a lamp dimmer mounted by the door. I'm not aware of a switch ,operated by a door, having the mechanism to switch one filament, then a second filament and finally switch both filaments simultaneously. The last option would be that you are asking how to control one lamp with a pair of three-way switches. If you can be more specific, someone will surely have the correct answer. TexMav
