Unique gifts to bring back from Belgium and Spain?

Somehow whenever I go to Europe and bring something back as gifts, I find out that it's available in the USA. It drives me crazy. Family and friends have asked me for, of course, chocolate from Belgium. Can anyone tell me a brand of chocolate or a store I can go to that has AMAZING chocolate that is unavailable in the US? Or any other gift items that are unique to Belgium? What about Spain? Someone has asked me to bring back cured Spanish ham, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to bring that back home. Does anyone know? FYI - I will be in Brussels, Bruges, and Barcelona. Thank you!

1. You can find very good chocolate boutiques on almost every corner of the street in downtown Brussels, if that's where you're going to. To add an unique local feeling to that, you can buy a little hand made lace item, like a handkerchief or a book mark or something like that. Belgium is famous for lace, too. As for Spain, well i'm still thinking..
