Is it illegal to print lyrics from songs onto T-shirts with creative design and sell them online?

I run a music blog and there's a demand for T-Shirts. I was thinking of making shirts with lyrics of certain artists w/ my own creative design but I dont know if that's illegal or not. If it is illegal do you have any other suggestions?

1. You have to get permission from the artists or whoever wrote the lyrics for them. Technically it is their property, so it would be illegal. You could just make T-shirts with your blog's name and a cool quote, or a statement of what you do on the back?
2. no its not illegal to print tshirts with lyrics but i dont know about the selling part
