Don't you think the master bedroom for houses in united states are kind of small?

considering that two adult people are there and it will have all their stuff Like i think a master bedroom should be the size of a hotel room... that way the husband and the wife can have their their own nooks in the room like a sitting place near the window for reading and like if he hubby likes video games and wants to play b4 bed and for me a pretty vanity table area I have beautiful vintage things like a jewerly box and I would want to display it nicely in my own personal room and a bigger size would allow for that master bedrooms from the design I've seen really own have room for a king size bed and side tables and maybe a tv I find it strange I would have more room single and more area for self expression (I love interior designing) I don't know what I'm going to do ... maybe a personalized house but I don't want to waste money if it's going to be much more expensive anyways what are your thoughts and feelings?

1. I recently moved back to midwest from Southwest area of country and noticed the sizes of rooms out there are very big for master bedrooms like a hotel room size and usually had a bathroom attached to them. Perhaps it just depends on what area of the country you are in.
2. I envy you your problem, I really do. Come and live in England. My bedroom measures about 13x 14 feet. The house is worth about $600,000US.
