What features would you want from a lighting design?

If you work in an office environment (or can imagine working in an office environment!), what would you want from the lighting that you use on a daily basis? This could be in the form of mechanical features, or simply what kind of artificial light source you want. How would the lighting meet your own personal requirements? What are these requirements? Please take time to answer this question. I would really like all your thoughts, even if you think they may sound trivial or generic. Any input is valuable to me. Cheers

1. I often have to say that I would prefer to have artificial light. Most likely from neon bulbs. This way I would have a difference between my office environment and my outdoor environment. I would also prefer something bright without a flicker. The placement of the lights would be over head. And I would want at least 4 to 6 to eliminate possible shadows. They would also be operated on a light switch on the wall for easy access.
