Decorating Help!?

Anyone out there good with interior design? I have a two-story living room, and it's the most intimidating, plain, white room I've ever seen. I REALLY want to paint, decorate the room but don't even know where to start! Any advice for VERY large spaces? (What kinds of colors, what else can I do with the walls?) HELP!

  2. i just paint my rooms my favorite colours whever its fashionable or not because my home is an expression of me and i have to be comfortable there.
  3. A pastel of your favorite color splashed on the ceiling would be nice, and then ceiling to floor drapes which would be simple - just buy a roll of fabric that matches and get a ladder and install a simple rod with finials. Then loosely drap the fabric over the top of the rod and dangle it down to the floor on either side. That ought to give you a start, anyway.
  4. try painting the walls off white and put up some wooden door ways and maybe some in the corners but make sure wood is coated over with that clear stuff that makes stuff shiny.
  5. I WOULD SUGGEST 3 DIFFERENT COLORS WALL PAINT. PUT IN THOSE TRACK LIGHTS IN. I KNOW THIS MIGHT SOUND EXPENISE BUT I THINK I PIANO WOULD BE VERY NICE EXCEP. IN A 2 STORY LIVING ROOM. AND ALSO THINK ABOUT SOME BEAUTIFUL PAINTINGS. THIS WILL BE A NICE AREA TO SIT WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY. AND THEY WILL BE SO AMAZED. LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS OUT FOR YOU. I LOVE TO DECORATE. MAKE YOUR ROOM A CERTAIN THEME. LIKE A TUSCAN THEME. OMG YOU WILL LOVE IT. IF YOU NEED MORE INFO LET ME KNOW. GOOD LUCK!!!
  6. It is hard to tell without seeing. Could you email me pics. I would be thrilled to give you ideas. I would suggest something like a light creamy yellow. Paint the woodwork (if you want) white and keep the ceiling white. Hang pretty curtains or toppers at the windows; unless you like them open. Tell me more about the room.
