I am fixing up my bathroom and I need some interior design advise!!?!?!?
My bathroom has yellow walls which i want to paint and bring in chrome tooth brush holders and soap dishes that sorta thing. I have light pink tile in the shower with a white bathtub. I rent this house so everything i do to it has to be temporary or just easy as painting it back. What can i do about the pink tile without replacing it...or what colors will look ok with the pink? I am 20 years old so im not really into the pink thing...and I am the tenant.

- Hi, I think that you could go with one of the tera cotta colors. Try to find one on the pinky side, if you find it still doesn't work, just get some of those non slip bath mats and put them on the shower floor. Hope this helped, good luck! P.s. It would also help tie the 2 colors together if you find a picture that has both colors in it.
- I don't know what age you are,,,but I'd bring the pink out, paint brite pink walls, you could then paint designs on over that.. big circles, look like bubbles of diffrent colors, lime green, orange, yellow, then put a multi colored bath rug in there, walla looks new!
- If you want to do something bold, you could paint the walls a dark brown. Pink and brown are a nice pairing, and you could incorporate some dark rose colored accents into your decor. Another thing you might want to consider, if you don't mind pink, is to paint the walls a different shade in the same family of pinks as your tile. Go to the home improvement store and take a few paint samples (ideally the long strips that have several shades of the same color all on one card). Try to find the one that closest matches the tile and then pick a darker pink for the walls (or even lighter pink, if you want a more subtle feel for the room). Something I did when I was trying to decide on a color scheme for my place was to play around in Paint on the computer. If you go to the "Colors" tab and edit the colors on your palette, you can create just about any shade, then experiment with different combinations of color in different proportions (tile color, wall color, accents/decor, etc) so you have an idea what you're looking for BEFORE you go to the store. Those paint samples can be overwhelming! Good luck!
- if u want to play on the pink... then add some brighter colors like even a lt. lime green or anthr shade of pink. If u want to tone it down or out... then play up on colors like teal, purple, lavenders. the more u put in the bathrm that is not aimed towards the pink, the less u visually c it. but i like the fact of a lt lime green or lavender w/ a lt. green would b really nice & airy. There is nothing u could really do w/ the pink tiles b/c u r renting... so do what u can to work w/ it or pull u'r eye away from it. hope that helped.
- Consider a south of the border or Caribbean theme, in which pastel light aquas and pink usually go well together. If there's a shower curtain rod (not a door) a clear curtain with flamingos or palm trees would give a playful touch. I'd paint over that yellow with a very light mist green semi-gloss. I would also forget about the tooth brush /soap holder; let the tenants put stand alone holders, soap dish, etc, where they want. Probably the mounted holders will be broken off the wall.
