So a little while back I installed a Kenwood head unit in my 93 Ford Explorer, but being the idiot I am, I cut the Ford wires and spliced them to the Kenwood ones instead of buying the $4 harness. After enough trial and error (note the Ford and Kenwood wires are VERY differently color-coded), I matched up the right colors for powering the Kenwood head unit. However, the way the Explorer was designed was wires would go through the old Ford head unit, then through and amp, then to the speakers. Well modern head units have the amp in them, so I don't need to go through the Ford amp. Also, the speaker wire from the Ford head unit were really small and worn, so I'd like to run new wires. That's where my problems start. Right now i have speaker wire running through my car to the doors, which works, but doesn't look good at all. So I'm looking for a wiring diagram of my Explorer, so I know what plastic I need to detach and run wires under. Does anyone know where I can get one?
