A good editing software for graphic design ?

Whats a good FREE program to use to design things like posters ,etc . Things creative , allowing me to add text , little designs etc .

1. Corel is a great program for graphic design. Photoshop is a little difficult if you have never used it before. Good Luck
2. well you can always download a trial version of photoshop cs4 its the best software used yet. any queries contact me
3. A beginner or inexperienced user - Picasa For the more advanced user - Paint.net or Gimp. Don't expect to learn these overnight, it will take weeks, if not months to learn!
