what color paint shall i use to match my dark orange kitchen floor?

I recently put in new tile floor for my kitchen. the tile is an dark orange[terra cotta] with blue diamond design.16x16. my cabinets are painted dark coffee bean and i have half way up from floor around kitchen walls is a light brown paneling, the rest of the walls above that is orange. What I need to know is I am looking for a southwestern look. should i paint the half panel wall around kitchen colbalt blue? and kitchen cabinets stressed blue? or should i use a lighter color for the whole project? the countertops are laminated stonelook with color of orange, rose, and very light lavender. hard to explain. .

  1. Keep everything the same just paint the wall a creamy colour :]]
  2. I agree with the above answer, then add cobalt in a few small accessories. You want a sandy background on the walls for the other elements to pop. Look at pics online and you'll see that that's the way to go. Painting your cabinets and/or walls in orange or blue would look clownish, not the natural, light earth-colors-based look of southwestern style which uses mud (really) as its primary element.
  3. go with light brown for the walls
