Why does my r4i freeze on some games and not on others?

For instance, my r4i doesn't freeze or anything when I start playing pokemon ranger, but when I start playing metroid prime or america's test kitchen the game freezes after playing for a little while. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

1. Mine has the same problem with Devil Survivor and some others, I THINK it's because the file got corrupted somewhere along the way. Try backing up your stuff from your R4 onto your computer, deleting the ones that freeze from the back up, format the memory card, redownload the ones that were freezing, and then put it all back on.
2. I don't know i had that problem. Try installing A new Kernel onto your R4i and it might work Hope this helped Mip
