what design would be the best to have in a girls room?

okay well my two cousins are away for a trip and so me and my parents are designing/remodeling their room. One is eight years old and she is into princess and the other one is 15 years old and she is into what is now modern, like retro stuff. Alright so unfortunately they have to share room. They both agreed with the sky, baby blue background color on the walls and white on the ceiling and baseboards, doors, bathroom, and around the windows. Okay so then just a few hours ago her little cousin called me saying if we can add crown designs but then i hear her older sister screaming - so basically there is an argument. Alright so now i want to know what can i do to make them both pleased/satisfied? I was thinking of having diamonds going around the walls, and then at the bottom of the wall add some flowers but my older cousin doesn't really like flower things. So what kind of designs will go just perfect with them both? P.S they are not into hearts, flowers, crown, princess, splatter paint. i forgot to mention im not willing to do splits because its not going to look right.

  1. a room with paragraphs.
  2. i saw on a show the other day when they were redoing a house and had the same problem with 2 girls in the same room with different tastes and they did this:split the room, have the whole room one color or each wall a different color(my perspective i like the bright colors so i have each wall in my room a different color: orange, pink, blue, lime green) on one side put the crowns or a big crown and on the other side decorate it for the older girl i would say bright colors hope this helps
  3. 1] just do what they APPROVED - they have to sleep there, so no additions unless they OK them 2] younger sister could have blue bedding with princess [ Disney, crowns, flowers ] things on it; older blue retro or geometric print bedding 3] maybe blue or white sheers for windows? or white lace? [ retro AND frilly ] 4] white flokati or shag rug [ frilly and retro ]
