Would genetic testing be useful in this?

So I always wondered where my ancestors came from...my family is from northwestern india (near Pakistan). My grandfather and great-grandfather have blue eyes, my aunt, cousins and other great-grandfather have green eyes, these, as u know, are not typical indian traits. i also have very thick, rough, curly hair and have to often use hair products designed for african women. my skin is lighter than most indians as well and i have smaller eyes (i have been confused for being cambodian, thai, and also latina).....the area i m from has been conquered by the persians, mongols, and some of the greeks. would getting genetic testing help me determine my ancestory? if so, where can i get a test done? thanks
