Interior design tips for a 14 year old girls bedroom?
I want to use the colors MINT GREEN and CANDY FLOSS PINK. Wallpaper is not an option, I want to paint my walls but I'm not sure what colors. Either-all pink-all green-one green wall and 3 white-one pink wall and 3 white-2 green and 2 pink I have a vintage dressing table, chest of drawers and bed side table that all match (white and cannot be painted) What are some other things I could do with the room and the walls?? Nothing to expensive.

- Feature walls are in at the moment, so even though your not keen on wallpapering you could still use the concept of the idea and choose to do one green wall and 3 pink ones, or the other way around. Or you could just have the whole bedroom in one colour and then buy bedding, lampshades and other decorations to be in the opposite colour.
- seeing as your furniture is white i would do mint green walls (your daughter may mature out of the pink walls as she gets older), with a pink accent of some kind, not a full wall but maybe a stripe around the all the walls or a stripe or two down one side of all the walls (ie two thin stripes down each left hand side of each wall) or you could do a few stars etc spattered on the walls, you could also use pink just on picture frames and bedding and not on the walls at all. I would try to avoid anything too age specific as at her age she is likely to change her mind again soon!
- paint one wall green color, the mint one as you say and the other 3 walls candy floss pink, it would look really good, but as you say the furniture is all white and cannot be painted, what you can do is go for green carpet, one wall white and the rest of them candy pink this way you will be able to adjust all your colors and your furniture too you can also bring in some nice and bright lights in pink and white combination, along with it you can get some nice wall hangings and picture frames, they will really brighten up the room and make it look good see http://www.aboutfurniture.org/bedrooms.php for more tips and ideas on bedroom decor
- Tone down those colours. At 14 she will become tired of the look in no time..choose one colour or a neutral one and add the greens and pinks in the accessories/art/shelving.
- Painting the room and walls is a good idea. But also have a good look at a good bedding set. The bed is the centre of a bedroom, and the way it is presented can have a huge impact on the presentation and character of a bedroom. There are lots of great bedding sets around, some of which also come with accessories such as curtains, floor rugs, wall decorations etc. The best thing is they are not expensive and it's not hard to find something that will suit your taste.
