i need ideas to decorate my room?

i have a small sqaure room, with bright mint green walls. the colour is similar to - http://dallaspartytentandevent.com/images/products/mint_green.jpg - in that link. i guess it could be taken for cool or warm depending on ligthing and such. i much prefer warm tones. i have dark modern, angular chocolate brown furniture including a tall boy, queen sized bed, coffee table, makeup desk and and 2 bedsides <<all matching. the skirting boards and such are white and i have light cream carpet. i am 15 yrs old and heavily interested in music and fashion. i need space for my guitars and amps. the music i like is punk, heavy metal, screamo ect. btw im a girl. the fashion i like is much like taylor momsens and jenny of gossip girl season 2. i love interior design but i like modern french vintage sort of themes. lots of warm tones like red and coffee and cream. unfortunately im not allowed to repaint. and i dont like the idea of covering with posters as it looks tacky. i want ideas and color schemes if anyone could please suggest any? and i dont want it to look like a kids room, more like an adults or those modern pent house apartments or hotels haha.

  1. i love french vintage to thats how my room is :) . I have wooden floor but cream carpet is nice too .... I have a wallpaper which is grey with a pattern ontop (black pattern) this looks vintage. And i have a white bed cover with black on and a black and pink throw (it does all match ) ... so blacks and whites and greys and pinks do go with most colours so these are good colours to choose so you can always change parts if you dont like it in few months or so.
  2. Its a bit tricky to answer this but I'll try. for wall inspiration why not try vintage frames & mirrors - something like this http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3277/2690127899_7874b0fdc6.jpg you can also use different pieces of fabric and wallpapers to display in some frames while leaving others blank Chocolate browns & creams & whites got brilliantly with the colour of your walls so your lucky there, your furniture sounds more modern than french vintage but you can always as small touches like vintage linen sheets, maybe a nice quilt ? Interesting lamps, vintage mirrors and frames (as suggested above) I also like to use vintage teacups and saucers (mismatched) to keep my jewelry and little knickknacks. I like to mix and match different fabrics textures and have lots of sparkly things like mini chandelier style lamps with velvet & lace! I'm a sucker for lace. That's all I got for now.. Hope they give you some inspiration to work with & good luck
