Can I paint my kitchen pink? Please, I need your design help!?

Have a very pottery barn with modern twist/ eclectic home- cream/tan cabinets painted wood with black knobs and black and stainless appliances. Black rug with huge flowers-green, pink, blues, yellows. Wanted to paint wall a greenish tone, but keep getting drawn to pinks and mauves. Is it ok to use those colors in a kitchen? What do you think? Thanks!!

  1. I have a pink and cream kitchen at present (not by choice). Pink blinds, tiles, bench-tops. I don't even like pink; never have actually. I have got used to it, and it looks clean, settled in with pale green and some brown, cream and white hues. I far preferred my old kitchen though which had more modern pale grey and white tones. Visit a friend who has these colour tones in their kitchens and compare. Personally I would never choose pink.
  2. It's your kitchen ...and the people that live with you. If they don't have an issue with it go for it!
  3. If your architecture allows, you can do one wall pink and the others green. Or vice versa. It's your kitchen, and especially if you can match the pink from another place in the kitchen, it should tie together nicely. Warm colors are always nice in a kitchen, and something a little surprising will be a nice way to make your room stand out from other Pottery Barn-esque homes!
