Who at Kraft kitchens can defend the use of Cheese Whiz on Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches?

I ordered one in the Philly airport, and it was disgusting. Why not provolone?

  1. A genuine Philly Cheesesteak sandwich uses cheese sauce, not provolone.
  2. I wonder if it was a poor or cheap, watered down grade of cheese or maybe it had been left out too long and was starting to go bad. I have very sensitive taste buds and can taste and tell if something is going bad long before anyone else I know and that is especially true of things contaminated with mold. Cheez Whiz is the original cheese product used but some prefer other cheeses with American and provolone probably the two top contenders. I would guess that the defense would be that Cheez Whiz is the original one used but there are knockoff Cheez Whiz products that are really bad tasting. My personal preference is provolone but once in a while I like pepper jack cheese for something different. It just hit me that it could also have been the ketchup they used and it transferred its taste making it seem like the Cheez Whiz tasted bad. And you may be like me in that Cheez Whiz is something I seldom find the best choice. For an interesting change, try Sweet Baby Rays award winning barbecue sauce. It is almost as good as my own but mine is not for sale. By the way, I have decided to use a picture instead of my avatar. My beard is showing some gray now, however.
