OBLIVION ELDER SCROLLS QUESTION ABOUT MAGIC?

1st my character info then the question at the end Race: Nord Birthsign: The Warrior Class: Knight Level: 41 Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, and Endurance are all maxed at 100 Personality 84 Luck 52 Master Skills: Blade Block Hand to Hand Heavy Armor Illusion Armorer Athletics Alteration Conjuration Mysticism Sneak Expert Skills: Speechcraft Destruction Restoration Acrobatics Security Journeyman Skills Blunt Light Armor Marksman Apprentice Skills: Alchemy Mercantile Health Max is 559 Magica Max is 416 (With Enchantments See Below) Fatigue Max is 400 Max Load (Weight) is 500 Normal Enchanted Stuff I Wear That I Made: --Full 6 piece Daedric Armor w/ full Fortify Magica Enchantment on each piece --2 rings and 1 necklace with full Fortify Magica Enchantment on each piece The Question: Okay, with that said, I have been trying to work on my magic skills so I can become more like a battlemage. What I want to do is decrease the amount of time it takes for my magica to recharge. I can make some other enchanted items to replace my current enchantments if it will work to make it recharge faster. I know willpower is supposed to decrease the amount of time it takes for your magic bar to recharge but it still isn't fast enough. I've tried using willpower enchantments and I can't seem to notice a difference. The reason I ask this, is when I wore the Holy Crusader Armor instead of my Fortify Magica Daedric Armor, the Magic regenerated a lot faster, and it wasn't because I had less Magica, i know the difference when I have the Magic Fortification off, and it was still faster. The Crusader Armor has no Willpower enchantments, only Restoration Fortification with Resistance to Normal Weapon Enchantments. Anyone know why this is? Do I need to increase my Restoration and or Make Restoration enchanted armor? Or is this just some perk I haven't read about that is unique to the Crusader Armor?? Thanks and sorry for the long question. yeah speechcraft is easy to skill up. i just talk to a guard and keep him talking as quickly as possible. select the smallest wedge and follow it all the way around as quick as you can until he the disposition dips around 40, then try to raise it up to about 70 by selecting the wedges the right way. followed again by hitting the smaller wedge all the way around as quickly as you can. you can keep persuading them endlessly and you increase your speecraft pretty quickly. since it's one of my last major skills i and all i have left is personality and luck to max out i've been working on it little by little. and by the way, i've got several great spells i made that don't require a lot of magic to cast and do tons of damage, in fact it kills most enemies in just one spell for about 100 to cast. i was just wanting to make it faster to recharge if i could because i like to cast a lot of spells all at the same time and i usually have to wait a little bit longer than i'd like to do it all. that's all.

  1. ???????????????????????????????????????????
  2. is this on runescape?
  3. Items/Spells which fortify Willpower-based skills don't (in theory) decrease your Magicka regen time, they simply decrease the amount of Magicka needed to cast Willpower-based spells. If you have a faster Magicka regen time because of the Crusader's Relics, then it's probably an extra perk that isn't documented in the game. Edit: Good Lord! You're Expert-level in Speechcraft? That must have taken forever to level up...
  4. I haven't played Oblivion in a long time but my guy was lvl 55 Spellsword because it was a nice mix between bladed weapons and destruction. I don't think I ever had much of a problem mixing the two together, cast a Health Drain projectile spell at the beginning, then switch to my Touch "Flamestrike," which would leave my enemies on fire for at least 10 seconds while I hacked with an enchanted sword. I believe I was using my fully enchanted Ebony armor suit along with a necromancer's hood which was enchanted with fortify willpower and I forget what jewelry I had but it was some of the best. I never had a problem taking out any number of foes and running out of mana because I had at least 2 enchanted weapons I could switch between to do either Fire or Frost damage depending on the enemy. The only mage-enhancing enchantments I had was the necromancer's hood with fortify willpower and a ring that gave a bunch of good bonuses (I think +50 mana or something) Other than that my stuff had Evasion and Damage Reduction enchantments. Either you're making/using spells that require way too much mana (Like that one Fingers of the Mountain lightning spell) or you aren't using enough variety to eat away at an enemys health. Try switching to Ebony armor, maybe that will help cause I never had a problem. Who knows maybe Daedric Armor (since it's the heaviest kind) may have a negative impact on mana regeneration and that is why the Crusader's armor gave you such a noticeable difference. Great game, good luck! (Buy the expansion if you haven't, it rocks!!)
  5. I'd make new armor, or new jewelry the way you want it. I think it would be expensive, but you could do it. You'll probably have to have alot of sigil stones or soul gems to do it, and of course lots of gold. Maybe this will help you better. Can you not enchant the Crusader Armor? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Useful_Enchantments I didn't enchant a whole lot, as I was a thief, but my magica was high. I enchanted a peasant outfit to make me 100% invisible, and it was awesome. Sorry if I wasn't much help. I played Oblivion for 214 hours before putting it down for Fallout 3. Note to above guy: Expert speechcraft didn't take as long as you'd think. I think I hit it about level 25-30.
