Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion?

Are there things I should be aware of before I start doing the Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion? Like, will there be a quest to kill someone that will allow me not to advance further in a Guild or Faction or that will take away an opportunity to acquire a unique item?

1. na, the targets of the dark brotherhood are just pointless hicks who no-one will miss so it won't effect your other quests/guild memberships e.t.c, so long as you don't get caught that is! ; )
2. To the first guy. Um, the imperial legion commander Adamus Phillida(even if he is retired) is a pointless hick? Sure he doesnt have any quests to give you, but i'd say he's more important than most of the people in the game, and im pretty sure he'll be missed. And most of those people in the game are pointless hicks too then, at least he was important. Oh and im pretty sure he'll be missed if even his bodyguard says and i quote, "He... He's dead. And on my watch... I've failed... Failed everyone... " To answer the question, no none of the people you kill for a dark brotherhood quest has anything to do with any other quest. So dont worry about it. And the same with acquiring items, you actually get unique items BY doing these quests, but make sure you always get the bonus because that is sometimes the item.
