Where can I find a great downtown of small primarily locally-owned shops in Columbus, OH?

I live in the Grandview area but am willing to travel 15 minutes out in any direction. Looking for a "quaint" area with small shops to browse for Christmas gifts. Not looking for a place like Easton where it's all chain stores. I'm wondering if there's a section of town with nice stores/boutiques that sell unique items such as clothes, jewelry, knick-knacks, local foods/wines, garden art, books/cd's, etc.
