Do antique white kitchen cabinets make the kitchen look too country?
Our kitchen has white appliances and is next to the dining room which has dark cherry wood. What is the correct color to go with for kitchen cabinets?

- i would do something a little lighter than the dining room either a oak or walnut
- antique white is very traditional and shabby-chic/country looking pure white or bright white is much cleaner and contemporary
- Do you want the kitchen to appear to be a continuation of the dining room or do you want it to appear to be a divided space? Short answer- match the dining room if you want them combined. Use the white cabinets to keep them appearing to be divided rooms. If you want them somewhat combined search for nice cherry wood pulls to put on the antique white cabinets. Bring in a few other cherry wood accents into the kitchen, Such as a large cherry wood fruit bowl or serving dishes. I think it will pull through well that way and keep the room as individual rooms. - Depends on the size of the kitchen. If you want it to appear larger- use light wood, or if you're okay with the size or don't mind it to appear a bit smaller- dark wood. The correct color is which ever color you choose. You're the one that will be looking at it. Good luck. OH! No, that wouldn't make it look country- but any wallpaper with fruit does in my opinion... - I don't think the white would look too country, that would be pretty nice. Even a deep-dark cherry wood color woud also match very well... it would bring some contrast and even things out perfectly.
