Small black flies in the bathrooms?

am inundated with very small black flies in my bathrooms! They are sooo tiny and it seems that when i kill 1 or 2, more come! The are concentrated in the 2 bathrooms at my house and rarely are seen in the other rooms. What are they and how do I get rid of them? How do I prevent them from coming back?

  1. Yea we have that also - we have tryed everything - I can't stand them - I hope you find an answer cuz that will help me also.
  2. There are many insecticide available in the market. Bagyon, hit are some of them. try them. some insects are seasonal after that they won't come. don't worry.
  3. put tape in all the corners where their coming out so they can't come back in, then kill them all.
  4. Those are gnat flies. They're in your bathroom b/c they LOOOOOVE damp, wet, moldy type places where they can breed. Best bet, apart from trying to keep the room as dry as possible when not in use: BUG BOMB! Just the same, search the room to see where they seem to be coming from. One of my old offices had the same issue w/ these bugs. It later turned out that this slob of a coworker kept an ivy plant in his cold, enclosed office. He overwatered the plant that it was barely alive but its soil was very damp. One time he called in, our office manager went in to check to see if she could find out where the flies were coming from. She accidentally bumped the plant she said it was like the thing exploded into hundreds of these lil flies. Out went the plant & thus ended our infestation! Good luck!
