How can I control my light switch from the other side of the room?

I'm not as lazy as you think. I just moved into a bedroom with two doors, but only a single light switch by one of the doors. I'd like to be able to turn the light on and off as I enter and exit both doors--not just the one. I swear I saw a contraption designed for precisely this purpose in a catalog a few years ago, but I can't find it now. Thanks much for your help! The contraption I saw in the catalog was made of levers and pulleys attached to the wall--I thought it was cute. So if anyone finds that, that's my priority. However, I'm probably going to have to find some other method, so keep on keepin' on with the remote switch answers and so forth. Thanks guys =)

  1. Try tying a string of some sort to it.
  2. can get a remote control? or just add another switch in
  3. Hi Found it...and it looks a lot easier than running another wire and getting two 3-Way switched. Good Luck S1lent
  4. You will have to replace the existing switch with a remote switch device. This remote switch comes with a receiver switch that you can screw next to the other door. You can find this item at many major home improvement stores in your area.
  5. Don't know if they still sell "the clapper" Clap on, clap off, the clapper.....
