is interior design a good career for the future?

i love interior design and i just stared college with this career but i know how economy is right now ? and how is going to change the future and i want to know if interior designs will be a good career for the future ?

1. My Mother is an interior designer although about to retire. The economy has affected the design field there is no doubt about that. However if you really want to be a designer you need to live in a large city. In cities there are always people with money who will want an interior designer. Good Luck
2. If your work is extremely different, innovative and modern, I say go for it. No one is going to want to hire an ordinary designer that will give them the same thing as others can.
