I need Interior designing ideas!?

Okay, well i just painted my walls light/baby blue, and my carpets are purple, more like a lavender. The colors don't bother me much but i need ideas on a theme/thing i should add to the room. I lovelovelove like Vintage French things, but dont know how that'd go with the colors. I sharemy room with my 10 year oldsister so please nothing too crazy. Also, i'm on a budget, so nothing insane please. Thankyou so much if you can help!

1. If you like vintage French, then you're probably fond of prints. Get someone to go with you to a fabric store and look for a chintz fabric in shades of Lavender, purple and blue to sew a duvet cover (large pillowcase) for your comforter and shams. You could use some picture frames painted off white and hang them with Lavender colored ribbon (which you can also glue around the edge of your lampshades). I'd keep it very light and airy and use a lot of off white accent things.
2. Go to thrift stores and revamp items you like. Put beads on a lamp shade. Add curtains with those colors in them. Also, one bed could have one color and the other another color. And tie them in with pillows and a blanket throw. If you don't find what you want online or in stores, check out craft and fabric stores. Most of all have fun and enjoy your room!!! Roxanne
3. How about a folding screen in a whitewashed finish to create a little private dressing corner? Hang a pretty vintage hat or lace scarf over the top. Add a jewelry box to a table or dresser. Stack two or three hatboxes covered in pretty fabric or wallpaper. Find papier mache boxes at a Hobby Lobby or Michael's to cover. You don't mention what finishes you have on your furniture, but painting it a soft white and lightly sanding the edges will help with that vintage look, especially if you add a touch of gold paint trim. Your colors will look perfect together, just like the ones in the link.
4. Try some vinyl words, quotes, or sayings they are very affordable.
5. I think blue and lavender is a good beginning for a Vintage French themed room. The main thing is the bedding now.
