Production budget - lighting design. I have to get quotations from 3 firms. I know 2 I'd be happy to work with?

There is one local company I'd rather walk over broken glass than work with again. Am I justified in asking for the third quote to be from a nation-wide company who I know will quote high because they won't want the job?

2. Absolutely. It's not all about price anyway - better service and better gear at a higher price is infinitely preferable to me than rubbish service and broken gear at a cheaper price.
