What should we wear for pictures? Any Suggestions for prof. pictures really.?

Me my fiance and my 2 month old son are getting pictures done in a week. I'm wondering what we should wear. What are good color combos. I'm thinking we will wear dark jeans and my son will wear black cord pants with a white shirt and ither a red,grey, or black vest. These are christmas pictures, but we don't want to be all decked out in christmas gear because we'll have christmas backrounds. What about shoes, should we wear black socks and take our shoes off? Any suggestions really for taking pictures would be great. If you have any makeup tips to, I'm really pale and would like to actually stand out in the pictures not just blend right in. We are getting them done at portrait innovations. we're all white, but I'm really white, practically see through lol. We all have pretty dark hair, my son with the hair he has it's dark. All have brown eyes.

2. I think black socks, no shoes is a good idea. Black jeans for all, and I would do white shirts. Or even red shirts
