Is there a forum for people designing their own modern homes?

Can anyone recommend any online forums, bulletin boards, or mailing lists, or offline associations, specifically geared to people building their own homes, and hopefully specific to contemporary styles and modern design? I would like to have an opportunity to exchange ideas with other like-minded individuals. Thank you for any suggestions.
