I have a plain bathroom and need a good decorating idea. I'm young and want a fresh, modern idea. HELP!?

I forgot to add, I live in an apartment that does not allow painting...so this means WHITE WALLS! AH! I wanted more of a decorating idea instead of design. I like the zebra idea but i dont want too much. Pictures would be so helpful if you think of something. Also I live with my boyfriend so nothing too girly. Thanks!

1. hmmm. i'm young too, and i have fresh modern ideas :] let's see. you could paint the walls of it a shade of a faded red, and then there could be gold accents. or tan accents. orr you could sponge paint the walls a green, and have the accents be different shades of green. i think that looks nice. also, you could have a teal theme. teal and a pale pink seem to mesh well. anyway, good luck, hope i helped!!!(if you think i did please vote me best answer. also, i would love to know which suggestion you liked best. thankss!)

Get some good ideas on wall colors etc there! see what you like and see what you dont like! If you're going for something modern I would do something that you wont outgrow... nothing too trendy... maybe a black and white theme.... you can budget this too.... google some classic photos, like marilyn monroe, james dean, breakfast at tiffanys, etc. print off google on photo paper and throw them in black and white frames... do a frame collage too.... kinda bunch em together and make it retro looking. You can also spice up your room with some color... maybe do a solid plum wall (it would look amazing with the black and white theme) .... new comforter if you can .... do something with a print... maybe zebra? Also, you can get some good accessories from Ikea.... lamps (bubble lamps are very cool, fun and hip).... I think thats all i got! Hope you get some good ideas! Try the designer... see what wall colors you like best... maybe paint one wall lavender and the other Plum ( a deeeeepppp purple) - I love black, white and purple together.... ! have fun!
3. Whatever colors you decide on for your shower curtain, towels, rugs and accessories, keep the room spa looking and not gaudy. Men don't care much for themes so toss that idea. I like elegance which means I choose softer colors like sages or light/medium blues for my guest room bathrooms as well as my master. I prefer white towels where possible but do choose some sage greens for those rooms where they are appropriate. I punch up the room with artwork. My countertop accessories are simple silver. Think relaxing and not an explosion of color or themes. That just never works. You will be surprised how the white walls disappear with the right elegant look.
